Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Dayton is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dayton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I came to this office as a new patient because my previous dentist stopped accepting my insurance. Unfortunately, I left very concerned and disappointed with my experience. I have documented bone loss and gum recession, along with a history of periodontal pocket measurements. My bone loss has been attributed to TMJ issues and chronic clenching and grinding, not periodontal disease. Because of this history, I expected my periodontal health to be thoroughly evaluated and documented when establishing care with a new dentist. The dentist did not perform full periodontal charting. He only measured a few pockets on my upper left side after I brought up my concerns. I specifically asked about having a localized deep cleaning in that area because I was concerned about those pockets, yet I never heard or saw any of those measurements being documented or charted. When I questioned why full periodontal measurements werenβt being taken, I was told that the dentist does not do periodontal charting unless something looks wrong. That explanation was very concerning to me. If baseline measurements arenβt taken and documented, how are changes in pocket depths, recession, or periodontal health su

Do not go here they are highly unprofessional petty and dirty staff are rude they cancel appointments w out telling u they waited a whole hour before canceling my daughters appointment while there had lied n said we never confirmed our appointment but they were calling me at five 6 oβclock at night not during business hours I confirmed it and hung up on them as I was in clinicals. I could not speak at that time anyways if I didnβt call and cancel the appointment why would they cancel the appointment they took no responsibility. Didnβt even apologize or anything but instead told me that the doctor that was gonna do it was out because her face was swollen or some crap and kept trying to make me feel bad for them and I told them I donβt care about that. I care about the fact that you made my daughter walk home in the rain not to mention last time we went there they had my child who was under age signing paperwork, which I later had to dispute with the insurance company and they change appointments without telling you the office is extremely dirty. I will be uploading a picture below proceed with caution if youβre going there.

Lobby is disgusting. No one ever greets you. You have to sit and wait for minimum 45 mins to even go back. Then they rush u in and out. I had to argue to stay in room with my minor child. We have been looking for a better dentist but this is definitely not the one. Beware of this location.

I had such an amazing experience at Dayton smile Dental. I have very high dental anxiety and was terrified going in, but the entire staff was so kind, patient, and understanding from start to finish. They took the time to calm me down, explain everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable and not judged at all. This was honestly the best experience Iβve ever had at a dentist office. Everyone was compassionate, reassuring, and truly cared about helping me feel safe and informed. Iβm so grateful for the kindness they showed me during such a stressful appointment. Highly recommend to anyone with dental anxiety.
